Tranquil Gardens
Annabells B&B presents the Nikau and Ngahere suites, each with hotel amenities like 1000 thread count linen, hairdryers, a microwave, a bar fridge, a bbq to cook on, access to the house kitchen for cooking in, kettle and tea making facilities in each room, a cooked breakfast each morning and exquisite teas and coffees.
The Nikau Suite has a spa bathroom, opening to a lush forest, with beautiful NZ made Nutrimetics body and spa products. 2 or more nights is always recommended at Annabells B&B because of the boating tours and weather conditions that travellers love to experience.
The Ngahere Suite with its entry off the driveway has a king bed which converts to 2 single beds. The ensuite has Nutrimetics products for guests to enjoy.
Whitianga Accommodation
Both Suites include heating/ cooling, a microwave, a toaster, a bbq for guests to use or guests are most welcome to use my kitchen for cooking and preparing meals. Suites include a queen bed in the Nikau Suite or the King bed in the Ngahere Suite. Beach towels are available to borrow, a hose is next to the garage to wash your car if you'd like to and laundry facilities are available for all guests. The ocean and forest breezes cool the rooms at night because the Coromandel Peninsula temperatures are mostly less than 30 degrees in summer.
Beverley is your host and you are welcome to ask any question, food allergies and special requests can be catered for and surprises for your partner such as birthday treats or wedding anniversaries are easy to organise. Beverley prides herself on her Sustainability Tourism Commitment and is involved in the local community. She is president of the Ohuka Garden Club and is creating and building an acre of gardens around the B&B. Each suite and the main kitchen has a food scrap bin and 100% of the green waste is buried back into the gardens or fed to the worm farm.
NZ Native Birds
New Zealand is home to many unique birds, seen only in this country. Two examples are the kekapo and the kiwi, both flightless and nocturnal in habit. Both are found around our Whitianga forest. We also often see the native Silvereye, the Kereru (NZ Wood pigeon), the Tui, Bellbirds, the Yellowhammer, the Chaffinch, the Greenfinch, the North Island kokako, the fantail and many more beautiful birds. Our night sky is brilliant for photography of the stars, the southern cross and milky way constellation and early morning for photography of our bird life.
We have the book "Know your New Zealand Birds" in each Suite for our guests to check their sightings of our birdlife. There are little paths around the B&B for watching the bird life and gazing at Mercury Bay.
